7. How can I automatically detect lost files that have been erased?
To check for lost files go to the main menu of the application and under the “Tools” option select the “Wizard” preference. A pop-up window will open and you have three options to choose how you want your search to be done. Select the “Do a lost file scan” option, click “Next”, then select the partition you want to search and press “Next”. The search result will be shown on your program’s window.

Under the “Tools” option of the main menu, select the” Wizard” option and click the “Allow me to explore my disks and partitions” preference, and click “Next”. Select the partition you want to search by double-clicking on it.
9. What type of erased files does the program detect?
ID Uneraser detects all types of system files, applications and extensions, compressed files, shortcuts and any other type of file. You can see them in the “Search Result”, organized by types of extensions.
To recover a lost partition, go to the main menu of the application, and under the “Tools” option, select the “Recover partition” button. Then select the physical disk where the lost partition resides and press “Ok”.
