7. How can I block an application that I have approved before?
To prevent an application you once allowed running on your computer, go to the “System Guard” option and select the application from the “Allowed Applications List”. Right click on it and select the “Deny selected application” option.
You can also go to the “Activity Log” option on the main menu, and select the application you want to ban. Right-click on it and select an action to be taken against it (block this application, block this destination, block this source).
9. Is it possible to set a personal rule for an application to be allowed or prevented from running in my network?
Yes, you can set your own rule regarding Internet Network applications. To do this, follow the steps: go to “Network Guard” section and write in the “content filer” box the name of the application you want to allow or ban. Select the action (DROP or PASS) from the end of the box and press the “Add Content Filter” button.
Yes, you can. First make sure you checked the box stating “Enable traffic logging” found under the “Network Guard” option. Then you can view all network traffic in the provided window.
12. How do I stop/start the Firewall from running?
The Firewall automatically starts once you install the program. If you want to stop it, go to the: Network Guard” section and press the “Stop Firewall” button. To start it again, press the “Start Firewall” button.
13. How can I find out if the firewall is stopped or running?
The ID Firewall has a toolbar icon in the right corner of your desktop. If you go across it with your mouse it should tell you the status of the Firewall. Also, if it is stopped, a red cross will intermittently appear over the icon.
